Andrew Hemmerling
Andrew has been playing drums for almost 20 years. Growing up in a musical family, Andrew has spent much of his life on the road. He spent his early childhood watching various drummers perform with his family, and took over the position full time at the age of 11. He spent the next 9 years crossing North America, playing close to 150 shows per year at churches, conferences and festivals.
In 2009 Andrew founded the rock band Cities Under Fire with his younger brother Jardeth and friend David Millar. Cities Under Fire debut album “Lukewarm Love” had several nominations at the 2011 GMA Canada Awards in Calgary, Alberta and went on to win “Alternative/Rock Album of the Year”. Cities Under Fire is currently on Hiatus.
In 2010 Andrew began to tour with Canadian country group High Valley. Andrew has toured extensively throughout Canada and the US, sharing the stage with acts such as, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Steven Tyler. High Valley signed to Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville in the fall of 2015 and currently has a top 20 single in the United States, “Make You Mine”. 2017 kicked off with performances at the Opry and in NYC on NBC’s “The Today Show”, a trip to Europe on High Valleys first EU headlining tour and over 125 dates in Canada and the US in 2017.
