Vintage China Cymbals
Vintage China Cymbals and the entire Vintage series provide a unique look to Heartbeat cymbals. The special lathing and hammering as well as a small bell of each Vintage cymbal produces a dark and dry sound. Overtones are greatly reduced and the decay is very quick. Minimal lathing means minimal shimmer.
Available sizes are 20″ and 22″ rides and flat rides, 18″ and 20″crashes, 14″ and 15″ hi-hats and 18″ and 20″ Chinas. Vintage Chinas are dark and dirty sounding. Hi-hats are dark and warm. Crashes are fast. Rides have a woody and mellow stick definition. Hand crafted and hand hammered in the same way that traditional Turkish cymbals were in the 1960’s and early 70’s, the Vintage series is perfectly suited for today’s contemporary worship music.
While some cymbals from other companies may look like Heartbeat cymbals, we work to ensure specific shaping, hammering, finishing, lathing and weight of each cymbal meets Heartbeat specifications.

The classic concept of these fully lathed cymbals has been proven over and over again through the years. Crashes are all medium thin in weight for excellent musicality. Many of today’s machine made cymbals are bright, heavy, loud and bleed through into the drum microphones. Heartbeat Classic crashes reduce overall volume and overtones making them a popular choice of churches everywhere. Hi-hat sizes range from 12″ to 17″ in diameter. For a softer sound, try the Classic light hats (14″ to 17″). Looking for a stronger “chick”? Try the Classic medium hats (12″ to 15″). Need a fast and crisp “chick”? The 14″ Flat bottom with holes might be the answer! Perhaps you can’t make up your mind whether you like the Classic or the Studio series better. Studio China Cymbals
Studio China Cymbals and the entire Studio series provide striking looks and amazing sound. The raw bell and raw stripe of the converts the Heartbeat Classic cymbal into the Studio series. Overtones are reduced and the tone is mellowed making this series popular for recording and for live usage. Less lathing, more raw (unlathed) areas means less resonance and wash, providing a quicker decay than the Classic series. Looking for a slightly more complex sound? Look no further than the Studio!
Available in rides, crashes, hats, splashes and Chinas, the Studio series is one of Heartbeat’s most popular. Many use an entire set up of Studio series, while other mix it with Classic and/or Epic series. Traditional Turkish hand crafted sounds and looks, but perfectly suited for today’s worship music. Chinas are available in 18″ or 20″ diameters.
